Originally homebrewed as a cherry stout. The Jailhouse version amped up the roast and chocolate malt, leaving the cherries for another day. Little did we know, it would become our most loved beer by the craft beer community.
When people say, “I don’t drink dark beer,” then this is the beer we recommend. It often redefines their idea of dark beer.
You can smell the chocolate malt from a mile away. Next comes the espresso flavors of the roasted barley, followed by a lingering bitterness of American hops. The complexity balances out with a respectable nudge of alcohol.
First released in October of 2013. Seasonally available in late fall through winter. Draft and 12 oz six-packs.
